Things to Celebrate

2025 was a year of tea education for me. I started by taking Tea 106 with the Tea and Herbal Association of Canada. That was followed by the Japanese Tea Foundation and Intermediate courses offered by the Global Japanese Tea Association. I ultimately traveled to Japan for two weeks in September to take the Japanese Tea Master Course. It was truly a dream come true, and I had a real pinch-me moment when I stood in my very first tea field.

Tea for Me Please turned 17 years old. I participated in several vendor markets and events, trying new things and pushing outside of my comfort zone. I gave a presentation on the history of tea at my local library. I was able to write more blog posts than last year, but AI changes to Google’s search functions caused a significant drop in traffic that I’m still working to recover from. A forehead injury early in the year also prevented me from filming as many YouTube and social media videos as I would have liked.

Goals for 2026

2025 was a bit of a mixed bag, but getting to go to Japan made all of the challenging parts worth it. I have some big dreams and aspirations for the future of Tea for Me Please. Here are some of the goals I would like to work towards in 2026.

  • Collaborate more with local business owners
  • Work on writing my next tea book
  • Travel to the Northwest Tea Festival
  • Finish my tea sommelier certification
  • Plan an event for tea enthusiasts in NYC
  • Grow my Patreon to help me create content more sustainably

What are your tea goals for next year? Did you accomplish everything you wanted to in 2025? Let me know in the comments below!
