Looking for the perfect gift for the tea lover in your life? It can be hard to know where to start, especially if you aren’t a tea drinker yourself. In this post, I’ll be sharing 6 gift ideas for things I have used and recommend as a tea writer and educator. Over the last 17 years, I’ve tried out just about every tea gadget and gizmo you can think of. Without further ado, here is the official Tea for Me Please 2025 Tea Lover’s Gift Guide!
101 Teas to Steep Before You Die

This brand-new book was written by a veritable dream team of tea industry veterans: Nigel Melican, James Norwood Pratt, Maria Uspenski, and Shabnam Weber. There is something for every level of tea drinker to discover. I’m almost finished reading my copy and will be sharing a full review along with a Q&A with Maria Uspenski on the blog soon!
Obubu Tea Farms Tea Club
In case you couldn’t tell, Japan is definitely still on my mind. I recently signed up for Obubu Tea Farms’ Tea Club after having such an amazing time visiting them in Kyoto. Subscribers receive unique packages of fresh Japanese teas four times a year. This is a great option compared to other subscriptions because it isn’t sent every single month. In this month’s shipment, I received: Sencha of the Forest Glow, Natural Oolong Needles, Dark Roast Hojicha, Suzume Kukicha, Obukucha, and a handy tea calendar.
*Disclaimer – I have had to pay tariffs to DHL on the last two shipments, but this is supposed to be changing! I would give your recipient a heads-upjust in case.

Ippodo Holiday Bliss Set

I recently received the Holiday Bliss Set from Ippodo, and I was truly impressed. This beautiful gift box includes their seasonal genmaicha, Obukucha, and Gokujo Hojicha. Both of these teas are my go-to comfort options when the chilly winter weather arrives. They are perfect for keeping your loved ones warm and cozy during the holiday season. This gift set is ideal for dedicated green tea enthusiasts as well as those who are just beginning to explore the world of tea.
Eighty
Eighty is a beautiful and incredibly well-designed magazine dedicated solely to tea. The articles are always informative and cover a wide range of tea topics. In case you missed it, check out my interview with their editor, Martin. It is published triannually, so it’s a gift that the recipient can continue to enjoy throughout the year. My bookish heart just loves that every issue comes with a coordinating bookmark!

Chawan

Teaware is a very personal choice, but you can’t go wrong with a matcha chawan. The recipient will be sure to think of you every time they use it! I recommend looking for a local potter that you can support. Take a look at what they have, and see if there is something that just screams that it belongs with the person you’re shopping for. The one pictured here was purchased from one of my favorites, Secret Tea Time, based in Toronto.
Balmuda MoonKettle
Last but not least. If you know your tea person is in the market for a new electric kettle, then you can’t go wrong with the Balmuda MoonKettle. It is a perfect combination of ancient aesthetics with modern convenience. Even non-tea people gasp when they see it on display in my tea room! I love being able to customize all of the light and sound settings.

I hope that you enjoyed my 2025 Tea Lover’s Gift Guide. Is there a tea gift someone bought for you that was especially meaningful? I’d love to hear from you in the comments below!
