Art of Tea Passionfruit Jasmine 2QT Iced Tea Pouches

November 7, 2013June 14, 2021 Post a comment
Art of Tea Passionfruit Jasmine 2QT Iced Tea Pouches

Country of Origin: not listed
Leaf Appearance: small, dark
Ingredients: Organic Black Tea, Organic Green Tea, Organic Jasmine Flowers, Natural Flavors
Steep time: 8 hours
Water Temperature: cold
Preparation Method: Takeya Flash Chill Iced Tea Maker
Liquor: amber

These iced tea pouches from Art of Tea were indispensable over the summer and I find myself still enjoying them well into fall. Now I’m a bit sad because this is my very last one. Being a bit lazy, cold infusing is always the way to go for me and it couldn’t be easier with my Takeya Flash Chill Iced Tea Maker. On my first try I accidentally left the tea pouch in the fridge for close to two days and I very surprised to find that it had not turned bitter at all. The taste was lightly floral, fruity and refreshing. It wasn’t overly sweet and I will still able to taste the base teas underneath. It’s no wonder why it won the Best Flavored Black Iced Tea category at World Tea Expo. No sweetener is necessary, but you could get away with adding a bit of agave if you were so inclined. I wish that I had the time and know how to experiment because I think that this tea would make an excellent base for a cocktail.
