While it isn’t for everyone, I’m a big fan of coconut in chai. This one was a good basic chai with a rich, earthy base. The spices were mild but present and the coconut added a slight fruity note. It was just brisk enough to add a refreshing and crisp finish. I brewed it straight up but it would lend itself well to stove top brewing as well. A tiny bit of sweetener would work but it almost isn’t needed because the tea is not very astringent. I really enjoy that they are no artificial flavorings in this blend. At just $9.00 for two ounces, it’s certainly one of the most cost effective chais that I’ve had. I’ll be contributing a recipe using this blend to their blog soon and I’ll be sure to update with the link once it goes live.
