Tea DIY: Matcha Yogurt Dipped Strawberries

It’s been a pretty hot and humid summer. The other day I was craving something cool and refreshing but also sweet. Dipping strawberries in yogurt popped into my head and I started thinking about how I could involve tea. Matcha is always a go to since it’s easy to incorporate the powder into just about anything. Ingredients -1 cup of vanilla greek yogurt -1 teaspoon of matcha -Approximately 15 strawberries 1. Add the matcha to the yogurt and stir until thoroughly incorportated 2. Dip strawberries in matcha yogurt, coating evenly. It helps to grasp the leaves as you do this. 3. Evenly space coated strawberries onto a baking sheet covered with wax paper…

Tea DIY: Leaf Print Tote Bag

Now that I’ve put together a handy little travel tea set, I realized that I need something to keep it all in. My inner Girl Scout leader decided to get a bit crafty. Why not use tea to make prints on a tote bag? I had never thought of doing this before but two teas immediately came to mind because of their large leaves: Mauna Kea Organic Premium Green Tea – 2014 1st Flush and Wild Tea Qi Mengku Rich Valley Raw Puerh. Water based acrylic paint is the best kind to use for this type of project. It cleans up easily in case there is a spill or mess and the final…

Tea DIY: Matcha Morning Wake Up

I’ve seen a few tea retailers post about mixing matcha with fruit juice lately. I was skeptical but I had a morning off of work so I thought that I would give it a try. The result was actually surprisingly tasty. The matcha smooths out the citrus bite of the juice. It’s a great way to get a healthy dose of Vitamin C as well as antioxidants. I don’t drink coffee so this will be my go-to pick me up on days when I am feeling really groggy. Ingredients 1 teaspoon of matcha1 cup of orange juice Mix together thoroughly and enjoy! I usually take step by step pictures for tutorials…

I’m seeing green tea being used in beauty products more and more but it’s really easy to make your own. This mask is simple to whip up and i just love how it smells. Tea DIY: Iced Chai Latte

I’m a complete chai addict but once the warm weather arrives I just can’t bring myself to drink it hot. I was craving that spicy, sweet flavor so I decided to try making my own iced chai latte. My boyfriend is also a chai worshiper and he gave this recipe a big thumbs up. I used Yogic Chai Original Masala Chai Pouches but you can easily substitute teaspoons of loose leaf instead. I like to use mason jars for this because you can use them for mixing and drinking. Ingredients 5 Chai Pouches 4 cups of water 3 tablespoons of agave 2 cups of milk Fill small pot with 4 cups of water…
