When Amoda Tea sent me their September Tasting Box, I was really excited to dig in because I had never tried anything from Hale Tea Company before. Event though they are new to me, Amoda Tea explained that they have more than 100 years of history behind them. This blend in particular struck my fancy because I am an unabashed white chocolate addict. The base teas were mellow and vegetal with mild floral notes reminiscent of jasmine. The mouth-feel was fairly smooth with no bitterness. Although subtle, the taste definitely had the sweet creaminess that I love so well. The fact that this was accomplished without artificial flavoring makes me very happy. Overall it was incredibly well balanced and I’m so glad that I had the chance to try it. Talk about dessert tea! You don’t even need to add sugar/honey/agave to satisfy your sweet tooth.
