Friday Roundup: February 24th – March 2nd

January 2019 White2Tea Club feat. Iron Arhat, Baisuixiang, Stone Milk, Dahongpao, Spice Flower, OBSX, and No.2 Rougui

Char over at Oolong Owl tasted seven different Wuyi oolongs from the January White2Tea Club. There are a few varieties that I have never heard of so this is definitely one worth checking out. Stone Milk sounds like it would be up my alley.

Matcha Miso Cookies!

I love baking with matcha, especially cookies, but I’ve never thought of adding miso to them. Nazanin at Tea Thoughts whipped up a tasty twist on a white chocolate miso cookie recipe. Yum! I will definitely be testing this out myself.

Wabi Sabi

Ricardo is my go-to guy for all things related to Japanese green tea. This week he did a great job of explaining the concept of wabi-sabi. It is a concept that isn’t easy to define but this post is an awesome start if you want to know more about it.

2018 Yiwu Wild Spirit – Yiwu Mountain Tea

Shinzo reviewed a tea from one of my favorite regions of Yunnan. The company is even named after it so it must be good! I am always impressed by the detail and depth of his tasting notes. He’s also the youngest tea blogger that I know of.

New Ways to Understand Tea & Health [2019 Edition]

Every year I look forward to Rie’s recap of the Global Tea Initiative at UC Davis. This year’s theme focused on tea and health. It is nice to hear that there was so much real science being presented there. We live in exciting times!
