Of all of the selections in +Numi Organic Tea's Savory Teas line, I was probably the most hesitant to try this one. Spices and I don't often get along (unless it's chai, of course) and curry struck me as an awfully strong ingredient. It actually turned out to me the mildest out of the three that I've tasted (the others being Tomato Mint and Broccoli Cilantro). Upon first impressions, the mouth-feel was oddly chewy. I've experienced a similar sensation with blends that used pumpkin or squash. It was mildly spicy without being overpowering or bitter. Oddly enough, tumeric and ginger seemed to be the dominant flavors. The green tea isn't really discernible but I wasn't expecting it to be able to shine through all of the other powerful ingredients. While the other savory teas aren't something that I would drink all of the time, this one turned out to be a fairly easy going sip. It would be interesting to bake with this tea. I could imagine that the curry and tumeric would impart a very unusual color.
