Podcast Episode 23: 4 Ways to Brew Loose Leaf Tea

September was an extremely busy month, both on the blog and personally. I was on my way to a wedding on October 1st when it dawned on me that I never actually made a podcast episode for the previous month. Oops! I’ve been trying to be more on track with that but one slips through the cracks every once in a while. I’ve gotten a few requests lately for a video on how to brew loose leaf tea. Since most of my YouTube channel viewers are very new to tea, I decided to focus on some of the easiest ways to get started. All of these options can be found for less than…

Podcast Episode 22: What are Tea Pets?

As I’m sure regular readers will already know, I’m just a LITTLE obsessed with tea pets. My menagerie is always growing, whether it’s an impulse buy or the generosity of friends. I’ve counted twelve all together and I’m sure that won’t be the end of it either. I thought it might be fun to do a podcast episode explaining what tea pets are for those who haven’t yet been bitten by the bug. Do you have tea pets? Let me know what kind you have in the comments! Even if you regularly watch episodes here on the blog, I’d really appreciate it if you could subscribe directly on YouTube! I’m trying to grow…

Podcast Episode 21: World Tea Expo 2016

Just when you thought I was done with my World Tea Expo coverage, I decided to sneak in one more thing. For this month’s podcast episode I put together a slideshow of pictures from my trip (accompanied by my dorky narrations). It was definitely a memorable trip and I was so glad that I got to share the experience with my fiance, Jason. This is the first slideshow that I’ve made with Adobe Spark, thanks to inspiration from +Rachana Rachel Carter. The process was pretty painless. Their music selection was kind of limited but that wasn’t really an option this time around anyway. Is there something (or someone) that you’d like to see…

Podcast Episode 20: Product Review – Sharp Tea-Ceré

One of my favorite finds at World Tea Expo last year was the Sharp Tea-Ceré. My fellow tea bloggers and I were all drooling over its sleek design and unique functions. It’s only fitting that I share my review of it as today will be spent packing for this year’s WTE. Although I’m not lucky enough to own one (yet!), the kind folks at Sharp offered to loan me one for a month so that I could play around with it and share my experience with all of you. This is the first product review that I’ve done on the podcast but I thought that the Tea-Ceré was something that would be hard to convey using…

Podcast Episode 19: Interview with Emilio Delpozo of The Jade Leaf

I’ve been a fan of The Jade Leaf for some time. Not only do they have a reputation for having some really incredible teas but the man behind the leaf is also well known for the beautiful teaware that he creates. I’m a sucker for those teapots with the wooden side handles! The differences in time zones always amuse me when I’m interviewing tea folks in other countries. Emilio is based in Taipei so we filmed at 11am EST (11pm Taiwan time). Keep an eye out for reviews of The Jade Leaf’s teas here on the blog soon. You can find out more about The Jade Leaf at http://thejadeleaf.com/. I’m so proud of…

Podcast Episode 18: Interview with Jeff Kovac of Four Seasons Tea Co.

I’ve been rather neglectful of my podcast lately, so much so that Twitter followers asked if there was a chance of bringing it back. Since I’ve scaled back my posting schedule a bit I’m going to make a concerted effort to film episodes more regularly. One of my favorite things about doing the podcast is getting to share the stories of the people behind the companies that I love. This episode is a perfect example of that. I recently made the acquaintance of Jeff Kovac from Four Seasons Tea Co. thanks to mutual tea friend +Tony Gebely. He shared some of his incredible tea with me and I can honestly say that his Da…
