Her teas are always unique and artfully blended. This one was more chai and spice than fruit but that’s just the way I like it. There was just a touch of appley sweetness and a…

    iHeartTeas Creamy Pumpkin Spice

Photo: iHeartTeas Country of Origin: not listed Leaf Appearance: small, dark Ingredients: black tea, vanilla, natural pumpkin spice flavor, cinnamon bark, cloves, ginger root, cardamom pods, marigold flowers, natural cream flavor, flavorings Steep time: 5 minutes Water Temperature: 212 degrees Preparation Method: ceramic teacup and mesh infuser basket Liquor: deep reddish brown I’m a sucker for anything pumpkin flavored, especially this time of year. Like most of the blends that I’ve tried from +iHeartTeas, the blend was comforting, balanced and well thought out. It was earthy, creamy and sweet all at once. The base black tea was fairly mellow, allowing the other ingredients to really shine. It had a chewiness that I find typical of…

iHeart Teas Mini Pumpkin Spice Tea Soap

You might remember from a few days ago how much I enjoyed Creamy Pumpkin Spice from +iHeartTeas. I even had a group tasting of this tea with my friends. When I saw these adorable hand soaps on +Rachana Rachel Carter‘s site I knew that I just had to have them. The shape is fun and what could be better than soap that smells like a delicious tea? I have sensitive skin as well as allergies to many perfumes but I had no issues with this soap at all. One of the things that I love about everything I have purchased from iHeartTeas is how subtle the fragrances are. Five soaps came packaged in a jar…

Tea Infused Bath and Beauty Haul from iHeartTeas

Some of you might remember that I previously reviewed +iHeartTeas  Green Tea & Lemongrass Lip Balm. A few months ago I ordered several of Rachel’s awesome products so I did mini reviews of each of them. Beauty blogs often refer to this kind of thing as a “haul” so I thought that I should follow suit 🙂 Matcha Mint Julep Lip Balm I actually purchased this at the New York Coffee and Tea Festival. The texture was super smooth and creamy without being waxy. The cooling sensation from the mint was very refreshing. I was so glad that I was actually able to taste the sweet and vegetal matcha.  Sweet Orange Matcha Lip Balm…

iHeartTeas Green Tea & Lemongrass Lip Balm

I usually scoff at beauty products with tea ingredients because it’s usually a minor part of the formula that is used solely for marketing purposes. However, I have fallen in love with this lip balm from iHeartTeas. Made by hand in Illinois by Rachel, this lip balm contains actual powdered tea. I’ve been using it for a few months now and I am very impressed. I love the fresh lemony scent and it makes my lips super soft. It isn’t too waxy or greasy and I love that the ingredients are not chemically and artificial. The tiny tin it is packaged in features a sliding lid and it is perfect for stowing in my purse. Her…

    iHeartTeas Sweet Velvet Fog

Country of Origin: not listed Leaf Appearance: small, dark and somewhat twisted Ingredients: black tea, natural caramel flavor, natural vanilla flavor, natural cream flavor Steep time: 5 minutes Water Temperature: 212 degrees Preparation Method: ceramic teacup and mesh infuser Liquor: deep reddish brown Usually the way that a tea smells gives a good indication of what it will taste like. The dry leaves of this tea certainly gave me high hopes because their aroma was incredibly sweet and creamy. I am happy to say that I was not disappointed. The flavoring was not very loud but just sort of misted in and out of my palate. I can see where the fog part of…
