The Friday Roundup is a weekly collection of five of my favorite blog posts from around the world. It’s my little way of getting the word out about all of my favorite tea blogs. Is there someone I’m missing? Let me know about it in the comments below!
Char from Oolong Owl reviewed an affordably priced shou puerh from Moychay. This tea caught my attention when they first related because the wrapper is basically a meme collage. I don’t drink much shou, but for the price, it would be worth buying to have on hand for when I do want some.
Matcha Monday with Enso Matcha
Danielle from Tea and Me wrote about her experience with the ceremonial grade matcha offering from a new-to-me matcha company. I love that she described her tasting notes in relation to how she prepared the tea, both successful and not so much.
Hou De Fine Teas Reintroduction
MattCha wrote about a vendor that is a real throwback for me. Hou De was the first place that purchased puerh from over 10+ years ago. They’ve been in active for a while but it’s exciting to hear that they are bringing in new tea offerings again.
I always love finding a new episode of My Japanese Green Tea pop up in my podcast app. This week Ricardo interviewed Michael Hemling, a tea and water sommelier. He shares which waters are best suited for making tea and why. This is such a fascinating subject that deserves more attention.
DIY Tea Advent Calendar (Super Quick & Easy!)
Tea advent calendars are always popular this time of year. Lu Ann from The Cup of Life posted this great tutorial for making your own using tea you already have as part of her #drinkwhatyouown initiative. I think that I’ll be working on making one this weekend so that it can be ready for the 1st.
