The Friday Roundup is a weekly collection of five of my favorite blog posts from around the world. It’s my little way of getting the word out about all of my favorite tea blogs. Is there someone I’m missing? Let me know about it in the comments below!
Quartine has definitely led to boredom for many of us. Sara from Tea Happiness wrote about a great list of tea activities to cure those cabin fever blues. There are so many fun options! I’ll definitely be pulling this blog post back up the next time that I am feeling a bit restless.
My tasting notes: Forever Spring Oolong
Anna from The Tea Squirrel wrote about her experience sipping one of my favorite Taiwanese oolongs. Three Gems Tea is a new-to-me company. I’ve been obsessed with their teaware and Instagram feed but it was great to get to know a bit more about one of their tea offerings.
Risks of humidified or heated storage
Marco from Late Steeps shared some of the risks of humidified and heated puerh storage. This can definitely be a touchy subject with a lot of different opinions. You’d be hard-pressed to find anyone as knowledgeable so there are definitely some things to pay attention to here.
EXCLUSIVE: History in a Bowl of Tea: Tea in the Song Period, Part II
Scott of the eponymous blog Scotttea generously shared video recordings of his interactive workshop on tea in the Song Dynasty. This is seriously fascinating stuff! It’s so interesting to learn about how tea was consumed in the past and the things that tye it to today’s practices.
Rie of Tea Curious is always experimenting and pushing her own personal limit when it comes to tea. We all have teas that we might not enjoy but it doesn’t have to be this way. I’m inspired to try, try again until I can enjoy the teas that I don’t like very much (I’m looking at your shu puerh).
