The International Tea Farms Alliance was very generous and sent me a sample pack from their Global Tea Tasters Club. I loved that they included information about each tea and the farms where they are produced. The first tea that I tried was this high altitude Alishan oolong from the Dignitea Farm. I was blown away by the quality of this tea. I haven’t had an oolong that was quite this good in a long time. It was incredibly delicate but savory at the same time. It was buttery, floral and sweet with a slight vegetal note that reminded me of cucumber. I really enjoyed how slowly the leaves and the flavors unfurled. Each of my three infusions were subtly different and it definitely could have kept going for a quite a few more. I cannot wait to try the other two teas they sent.
