The Friday Roundup is a weekly collection of five of my favorite blog posts from around the world. It’s my little way of getting the word out about all of my favorite tea blogs. Is there someone I’m missing? Let me know about it in the comments below!
The secret life of an Italian tea expert in London
Anna over at The Tea Squirrel interviewed Alessandra Rovetta, a tea expert at Fortnum and Mason. It was fascinating to read about her journey with tea and how she started working for the company. Talk about career goals! She also had some great insights into the Italian tea industry.
Getting Ready for Bed with Tea-Infused Lotion
Danielle from Tea and Me reviewed a tea-infused skin care line that I am a big fan of. We both have sensitive yet oily skin so our experiences were pretty similar. One thing I would add is that I loved how these lotions smelled, especially the Green Tea + Rooibos Body Care.
One of my favorite things about tea is the sense of community and generosity. Geoff from Steep Stories shattered his gaiwan lid and was gifted a lovely replacement as well as teas from some excellent friends. I’ve said it before, but I mean it when I say that tea people are the best people!
Gender Bias in Describing Western Facing Puerh Vendors
Matt of the eponymous MattCha brought up an interesting point that I hadn’t really considered before. There is definitely a gender bias when it comes to western facing puerh vendors. Chinese women play an important role in many tea companies and they should be recognized.
Tuesday Tasting: Witch’s Broom from Ohio Tea Co.
Jenn from Tea Leaves and Tweed shared her experience tasting an unusual puerh from a new-to-me company. Witch’s Broom is a tea that has been on my wishlist for years so it was great to find a small company where I can purchase it. Her tasting notes made me want to try it even more.
