The Friday Roundup is a weekly collection of five of my favorite blog posts from around the world. It’s my little way of getting the word out about all of my favorite tea blogs. Is there someone I’m missing? Let me know about it in the comments below!
Rie from Tea Curious contemplated the concept of cha qi on her blog this week. What is it? How do we study it? These are aren’t easy questions to answer but she points tea drinkers in the right direction. Make sure that you check out her Pu’erh Love Challenge!
Dalgona coffee has been all over my Instagram feed. Jee from Oh, How Civilized crafted a beautifully layered version with a matcha twist. It reminds me of the “electric matcha” that I used to make when I worked at the Teavana Tea Bar. This is not a drink for the caffeine sensitive.
Beneath an Emerald Sea 2016 Sheng Puer
Anna from Form Follows Tea reviewed a puerh from Crimson Lotus Tea that I have heard so many things about. I’ve always loved her visual review style. It does such a great job of communicating the texture of this tea. I have never seen a tea described as toothsome but it seems fitting in this case.
It seems like everyone is talking about puer this week! Eustacia of Eustea Reads continued her Tea 101 series by exploring the basics of puer. I especially enjoy her notes about Baidu how the definition of this tea differs a bit from a typical western explanation.
Geoff from Steep Stories of The Lazy Literatus has a nose for a good tale. In this post, he did a deep dive into Mi Lan Xiang and shared a side by side tasting. This is one of my favorite phoenix oolong varieties. It sounds like I really need to try the hong cha version!
Thank you for linking! The posts on Cha Qi and Milanxiang sound cool – going to check it out! I really enjoy your round up posts!
You’re welcome! Thanks for keeping the great posts coming 🙂
