The Friday roundup is a weekly collection of some of my favorite blog posts from around the tea world. It’s a great way to find new writers to follow!
Da Bo Large Leaf 2018 Spring Old Tree Black Tea
Anna over at Form Follows Tea has a unique review style that involves the use of some really cool visuals. Although her reviews aren’t wordy, you still come away knowing exactly what the tea tastes like. This week’s post features a Wuyi oolong from Old Ways Tea that sounds like a must try.
Tea Review: Yunnan Sourcing Oolong Tea Subscription
I was happy to see Jenn from Tea Leaves and Tweed back to posting after a bit of a hiatus. She recently shared her review of the oolong tea subscription offered by Yunnan Sourcing, a birthday gift from her mom. Welcome back to blogging and happy belated birthday!
Jun Shan Yin Zhen: A Tao of Tea Leaf Review
One of my favorite things about yellow tea is that most people don’t know it exists. Antonia at Steep. Sip. Repeat. reviewed one of my favorite varieties from Hunan Province. I agree with her conclusion. Everyone should try yellow tea at least once, especially if you aren’t a fan of grassy teas.
I have a confession to make. I really don’t enjoy bubble tea. The texture of bobba and the general lack of tea are both a turn off for me. That being said, I know that it is super popular. Jee from Oh, How Civilized shared her recipe for a matcha green tea bubble tea to make at home.
Cody over at The Oolong Drunk is trying to drink more black tea so this week he reviewed a tea from a new to me Russian company. I really love the look of these “chocolate bar” style compressed teas. Air Force sounds like a great choice for those that enjoy punchier black teas.
Thanks for the link and the birthday wishes!
Oooh I love bubble tea! I’ve got to check out the recipe, thanks for sharing!
