I picked up a pack of these at the New York Coffee and Tea Festival because I thought that they were the perfect size to stick in my tea wallet. The first infusion was paler than I had expected and while it did taste good, the taste was very mild. The leaves fully released from their compressed shape on the second infusion and along with them came an explosion of flavor. It was much darker with an earthy and rich flavor. There were notes of a licorice and cocoa with a sweet, woodsy aftertaste. I did about eight infusion before I couldn’t drink anymore but the leaves still had a lot more to give. I would definitely recommend this tea.
Wow! 8 infusions! And after doing some research it looks like you get 10 for around $18 or so (am I right?). That seems like money well spent! The flavor has really piqued my interest too. I think I've gotta try this.
Now as for the tea wallet…is this an actual product? Or is it just a normal wallet you just happen to stick tea in?
You definitely should try it. One of the best things about puerh is that it is so economical.

Pu-erh is the only type of tea that I have seen last through this many infusions. I haven't sampled this particular one, but I did try some wild Pu-erh from Wild Tea Qi, as well as some of their green teas. I was impressed! And I have had ancient tree Pu-erh from other sources…it really is a whole different beast, and some of the teas produced from these teas do last through steeping them over and over again! It's quite remarkable!
