Much to the chagrin of its users, Google Reader will be shutting down on July 1st. I know that many tea lovers rely heavily on this service to stay connected and up to date. What’s a tea lover to do without Google Reader? There’s actually quite a few alternatives out there.
BlogLovin’ – This service is the one that I now use and it has worked very well for me. The Chrome extension reminds me when there are new posts to read and the anroid app makes it easy to read blogs while I’m on the go. I find that I am reading and interacting a lot more than I did before too. To subscribe to Tea for Me Please, just click the BlogLovin’ button on the right hand column. Make sure that you check out my profile to see all of the tea blogs that I follow.
Feedly – Feedly runs primarily as a browser add on and mobile app. It has a lot options for displaying your feed. In addition to RSS feeds, you can also add podcasts, YouTube and news sites. I found it a bit too complex for my needs but it’s definitely worth checking out.
Pulse – Pulse is a content management service that you can use to read RSS feeds as well as newspapers, magazines and social networks. It’s probably the most visually appealing out of these options.
If you aren’t planning to use an RSS reading service but don’t want to miss out on blog posts here, make sure that you add +Tea for Me Please to your circles on Google+.
