Erborian 3-in-1 Mask Matcha Green Tea Blast Mask

It’s not often that I write about beauty products here but I recently won a Twitter contest run by +Palais des Thés. I received a box of 8 packets of this mask as well as a box of their Sencha Ariake. I was definitely intrigued because one of the ingredients of the mask is powdered green tea from the Korean Boseong botanic garden. The packet contained a clay-like powder. It was fairly simple to use. Just add water, lather and apply. I have fairly sensitive combination skin so using new products can be dicey. It did have an exfoliating affect it was not irritating or overly abrasive. I was skeptical but I have to say that…

Tea Infused Beauty with Puritea Naturals

I’ve had the good fortune to receive samples of everything music CD’s to pillows filled with tea. The one category that I always approach with a bit of skepticism is beauty products. Apologies in advance to my male readers, the struggle is real! I have sensitive, blemish-prone combination skin that gets painfully dry in the winter months. Cleansers, toners and moisturizers that won’t make matters worse are very hard to find. It took a lot of experimentation and wasted money at Sephora to get things figured out. Rob Murray from Puritea Naturals impressed me before even sending samples because he wrote a personal but professional email that showed he had actually read my…

Tea DIY: Green Tea Honey Mask

I’m seeing green tea being used in beauty products more and more but it’s really easy to make your own. This mask is simple to whip up and i just love how it smells. It also makes you look a bit like swamp thing so it’s fun to scare unsuspecting people 🙂 Ingredients: 1 tablespoon of green tea powder 1 tablespooon of warm water 1 tablespoon of honey  Step 1: Spoon green tea into glass bowl I love matcha too much to use it in this way so I picked up a bag of super cheap green tea powder in Chinatown. There’s no real need to sift the tea since it’s going to…

iHeart Teas Mini Pumpkin Spice Tea Soap

You might remember from a few days ago how much I enjoyed Creamy Pumpkin Spice from +iHeartTeas. I even had a group tasting of this tea with my friends. When I saw these adorable hand soaps on +Rachana Rachel Carter‘s site I knew that I just had to have them. The shape is fun and what could be better than soap that smells like a delicious tea? I have sensitive skin as well as allergies to many perfumes but I had no issues with this soap at all. One of the things that I love about everything I have purchased from iHeartTeas is how subtle the fragrances are. Five soaps came packaged in a jar…

Tea Infused Bath and Beauty Haul from iHeartTeas

Some of you might remember that I previously reviewed +iHeartTeas  Green Tea & Lemongrass Lip Balm. A few months ago I ordered several of Rachel’s awesome products so I did mini reviews of each of them. Beauty blogs often refer to this kind of thing as a “haul” so I thought that I should follow suit 🙂 Matcha Mint Julep Lip Balm I actually purchased this at the New York Coffee and Tea Festival. The texture was super smooth and creamy without being waxy. The cooling sensation from the mint was very refreshing. I was so glad that I was actually able to taste the sweet and vegetal matcha.  Sweet Orange Matcha Lip Balm…

iHeartTeas Green Tea & Lemongrass Lip Balm

I usually scoff at beauty products with tea ingredients because it’s usually a minor part of the formula that is used solely for marketing purposes. However, I have fallen in love with this lip balm from iHeartTeas. Made by hand in Illinois by Rachel, this lip balm contains actual powdered tea. I’ve been using it for a few months now and I am very impressed. I love the fresh lemony scent and it makes my lips super soft. It isn’t too waxy or greasy and I love that the ingredients are not chemically and artificial. The tiny tin it is packaged in features a sliding lid and it is perfect for stowing in my purse. Her…
