My friends picked me up a box of this tea on a trip to Boston a few months ago. Thank you, Paul and Ashleigh! Do they know me or what? It came in a colorful commemorative Boston Tea Party box that had lots of historical facts printed on it. Although this tea was bagged, the leaves were fairly high quality and I really liked that the paper was unbleached. The taste was earthy with a refreshing astringency and just the right amount of bergamot. It certainly could stand up to milk and sugar but I didn’t feel the need for either. Earl Grey has a lot of fans but it’s actually one of my least favorite types of tea. If I find it drinkable, that says a lot! Metropolitan Tea Company is a wholesaler that does not sell direct so I’ve linked to the Steepster page for this tea instead of the usual product page.
