Menna One Portable Tea Infuser

Menna One Portable Tea Infuser

April 26, 2021October 6, 2021 2 comments

I’m always on the lookout for tools to help me make tea on the go. The trouble with many travel cups is that you have to remove the tea leaves. That’s why I was super excited by the design of the Menna One Portable Tea Infuser. It features a patented infuser basket. All you have to do is twist the mechanism in the lid, and it seals the infuser basket to stop the tea from over-steeping. They sent me the onyx color. It is more of a dark grey, but the body is SUPER sparkly.

I dragged my husband to the park to try to do a fun photoshoot with the Menna One. It wound up being incredibly windy, but he did manage to get one shot where you can see my face. 😂

Pros

-It’s not super heavy, even when filled to maximum capacity.
-Not having to remove the leaves is a huge plus. I love being able to re-steep later in the day.
-The locking lid seems to be fairly leakproof. I was able to toss it in my bag without any issues.
-It kept the tea fairly hot. I tend to drink right away, so I didn’t really test the retention for longer periods.

Cons

-There is quite a bit of plastic that comes into contact with the tea. I did not notice any effect on the taste, but I know that can be a deal-breaker for some.
-There are a lot of moving parts. That can make it hard to clean.
-It’s easy to overfill. There is a line inside, but it will overflow when you put the lid on if you’re not careful.
-The infuser basket is on the smaller side. It is definitely better suited to teas that don’t need much room to unfurl.

There are pros and cons to every piece of teaware. That is why I like to keep a variety of options around. Overall, I have been really happy with the Menna One Portable Tea Infuser. It has become my go-to for outdoor adventures.

Yes, I’m afraid the plastic in contact with the tea is a deal breaker for me, but I enjoyed reading about it.

I definitely understand your feelings there. Unfortunately, there aren’t many options for travel cups without any plastic pieces.
