Le Palais des Thés describes this tea as being inspired by an ancient recipe from a Tibetan monastery. In fact, it’s name is French for “tea of the monks”. This tea was like a more sophisticated version of earl grey. The citrus flavor was strong yet light and refreshing. I generally dislike bergamot so I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. The vanilla was subtle but added a really nice creaminess. The base blend of black and green teas provided a mellow stage for these flavors to really shine. Their combination of smokey and grassy flavors balanced each other well. I would definitely recommend this tea.
