I always say that Handmade Tea’s Christmas season blends are the ones that I look forward to the most. Last month’s Winterfylleth was one of my all-time favorites but this month’s shipment came pretty darn close. Overall, it was a wonderfully sweet and fragrant blend. I loved the malty, rich complexity of the base Yunnan black tea. It paired well with the light, fruity sweetness provided by the pear and cranberry pieces. They were colorful and so fresh that you could eat them straight (yeah, I did that!). I’m usually much more into unflavored teas but Caleb always seems to hit the sweet spot where everything combines in a way that is just right. Even though these ingredients are not exactly what you think of when November comes around, it really did evoke feelings of the Thanksgiving season.
