Friday Roundup: May 9th – May 15th

May 14, 2021October 6, 2021 Post a comment

The Friday Roundup is a weekly collection of five of my favorite blog posts from around the world. It’s my little way of getting the word out about all of my favorite tea blogs. Is there someone I’m missing? Let me know about it in the comments below!

Gyokuro Sauce Recipe

Ricardo from My Japanese Green Tea shared a recipe for a delicious sauce made with gyokuro infused heavy cream. That is not a combination that I would have expected but it certainly sounds like one I need to try.

Mississippi Green Tea Brewed Three Ways

Eric from One Man’s Tea Journey experimented with a relatively new green tea that was grown in Mississippi. The way that we prepare tea can have a big effect on the taste. It sounds like Japanese-style brewing in a shiboridashi is the way to go.

Exploring Japanese Green Teas with Arteao

Danielle from Tea & Me explored four different Japanese green teas from a new-to-me brand this week. The depth of her reviews is something that I always appreciate. It was especially interesting to hear how the genmaicha and matcha genmaicha compared.

Come fly with me to Shan Lin Xi

Stephane from Tea Masters Blog brings us on a trip to Shan Lin Xi. The pictures that he captured of the mountain mists are absolutely stunning. What an amazing view he had for a special outdoor chaxi!

Beengs and Purge

Geoff from Steep Stories of the Lazy Literatus experienced every tea drinkers worst nightmare. The idea of having to throw out so much tea due to mold is heartbreaking. I had to check on my pumidor after reading this.
