The Friday Roundup is a weekly collection of five of my favorite blog posts from around the world. It’s my little way of getting the word out about all of my favorite tea blogs. Is there someone I’m missing? Let me know about it in the comments below!
Afternoon Tea: What It is, Recipes, and High Tea
Jee from Oh, How Civilized gives us the lowdown on all things afternoon tea. In this post, she covers everything from the proper courses and etiquette to recipes. Sign up for her email list for a free tea etiquette cheat sheet.
Introducing: Koshun (香駿) Cultivar
Eustacia from Eustea Reads investigated the Koshun cultivar. This is a relatively new variety that I have yet to try, so it was interesting to read about. It definitely sounds like I need to soon. The pictures she captured of this tea are absolutely beautiful.
2020 Mall Ninja Dojo and Horse Girl Clique from White2Tea
Char over at Oolong Owl gave her thoughts on a white and black tea made from the same Menghai material. I have a Horse Girl Clique sample, but this post really made me wish I had also gotten Mall Ninja Dojo. Her descriptive tasting notes are always a pleasure to read.
Matcha Monday Masterclasses | How Is Matcha Produced?
Kimberly from Tea is a Wish Your Hear Makes continued her Matcha Monday Masterclass series with a discussion of how matcha is produced. She did a really great job of describing every step of the process. There is so much work that goes into making each cup of matcha that we enjoy.
Vince from Fresh Steeps is a chemical engineer, so it was fascinating to see his caffeine and tea perspective. I love sciency blog posts! His recommendation of listening to your body is a great piece of advice. The same tea can affect two people very differently.
