Tea Discussion Post: What makes a good tea review?
Eustacia from Eustea Reads brought up an interesting question on her blog this week. As someone who has been writing and reading tea reviews for a long time, there is a lot of food for thought here. It is definitely important to remember the difference between personal preference and evaluation.
Michelle over at One More Steep shared a tasty recipe for DIY matcha soda. I’ve been having a lot of fun experimenting with different matcha beverages this summer. I love her no-fuss approach. All you really need to mixup matcha is a glass jar!
Matcha Blackberry Muffin Cakes
Speaking of matcha, check out these delicious looking muffin cakes from Suzanne at Tea Foodie. The green stuff is a perfect matcha for tart, sweet fruits like blackberries. She’s a real culinary whiz so I’m always excited to see a recipe from her pop up in my feed.
Somehow this weeks’ roundup is very matcha centric. Geoff from Steep Stories took it to another level, as he always does. This week he tasted two different matchas back-to-back. One is from Chiran and one is from Yame. It was really interesting to see how they compared.
Ricardo from My Japanese Green Tea is one of my go-to sources on his favorite subject. That is especially true from his extensive list of Japanese tea cultivars. In this edition, he discusses the Seimei cultivar which is commonly used for tencha. I just can’t get away from matcha this week!
