The Friday Roundup is a weekly collection of five of my favorite blog posts from around the world. It’s my little way of getting the word out about all of my favorite tea blogs. Is there someone I’m missing? Let me know about it in the comments below!
Tea with Elizabeth Cady Stanton
If you like tea and history, you need to check out Jenn’s channel. This week she shared a tea session inspired by Elizabeth Cady Stanton. I was happy to see that she discussed the role tea played a role in women suffrage but also pointed out some of the failings of that movement.
The Taste of Kyoto: Hojicha Classic From Hojicha Co.
Marco from Steap’d gave us a review of a tea that arrived in my mailbox this week. His tasting notes are always so evocative. It’s like I can taste and smell the tea while I’m reading! Hojicha is one of my favorite green teas, especially once fall is here.
Tea Wisdom I Wish I Could Have Told My Younger Self About Puer
There a lot of lessons to be learned as we progress on our tea journey. Char from Oolong Owl took a look back at some of her early mistakes with puerh. Many of them are ones that I have made myself, especially buying cheap tea. This is a must read if you’re getting started with puerh.
5 Wuyi Cliff Oolong Teas: A Rocky Love Affair
Carole of Carole’s Super Tea Adventure participated in a comparative tasting of five different Wuyi oolongs. In addition to her tasting notes for each tea she shared a ton of general info on Wuyi teas. I’m a sucker for Rou Gui but the Aged Da Hong Pao sounds lovely too.
Eric from One Man’s Tea Journey contemplated how his past as a picky eater relates to his tea drinking. This post really spoke to me because I have always been a persnickety eater myself. I credit tea with opening my mind and my palate to new things.
