Friday Roundup: April 25th – May 1st

April 30, 2021October 6, 2021 2 comments

The Friday Roundup is a weekly collection of five of my favorite blog posts from around the world. It’s my little way of getting the word out about all of my favorite tea blogs. Is there someone I’m missing? Let me know about it in the comments below!

Can You Age Green Tea?

Finding a tea in our stash that is past its prime is every tea lovers worst nightmare. Is the result always terrible, though? Anna from The Tea Squirrel tackled this topic and discovered that some teas might hold up better than you might think.

Tea Runners April 2021

Tori from Siply Tealicious reviewed her experience with the Tea Runners subscription box. I’ve just recently started receiving their pure tea box myself so it was great to hear her thoughts. Her tasting notes on the Yunnan yellow tea made me wish I had picked that one.

Roasted Oolong Milk Tea Kit: A Teacup. To Review

The looming tapioca pearl shortage has a lot of people trying to find ways to make bubble tea at home. Antonia from Steep. Sip. Repeat. tried a kit and it sounds like she had a great experience. The finished milk tea looks like the real deal too!

The Tea Community (and Monarch Tea Co Review)

Katie over at The Tea Fueled Writer wrote a bit about how wonderful the online tea community is. She recently won a giveaway from Tea with Jann and shared some tasting notes on the teas she received.

BitterLeaf Teas’ Year of the Rat 2020 Yiwu Raw Puer | Tea Review

Connie from Tea in Spoons reviewed a puerh from one of my favorite regions. Yiwu is always my recommendation for newbies because it tends to be fairly mild. It was interesting to hear how brewing by guided recommendations compared to her intuition.
