I’m not one for decaf tea since I’m pretty much immune at this point. However, I know lots of fellow tea drinkers who do have an issue with caffeine so I decided to give this a try. The first thing I noticed was that the paper filter tea bags had very strong aroma. I’m guessing that has something to do with the essence that was added. The taste was sweet with vegetal and floral notes. It had a smooth mouthfeel and lingering sweet aftertaste. As far as decaffeinated teabags go, this one was much better than I expected it to be. I would definitely recommend this tea.
This review surprised me a bit! I tend to have low expectations of decaf teas, and I've had mixed but generally not great experiences with white tea in tea bags.
I wonder what "white tea essence is"…is this a natural flavor distilled from white tea? I've never heard of that, and I'd be curious what it smells like.
I was very surprised myself. They smell very "tea-ish", lol. Basically the normal aroma of a white tea but amplified. I did a search for what tea essence is and it seems to be something like a perfume. Smell is a huge part of taste so in a way, they trick you into tasting a better cup.
Where can I buy this white decaf tea?
