    Storm in a Teacup

Photo by ToDryFor.com New Jersey was hit pretty hard by Hurricane Sandy. I am still without power, heat or hot water but I consider myself lucky because there are many who lost much more than that. Atlantic City was badly damaged so the Coffee and Tea Festival has been postponed. I was disappointed but grateful that the storm did not hit while I was there. Thankfully the blog kept ticking since I had my posts scheduled ahead of time. Tea and all of its trappings definitely helped me to weather the storm. I discovered that keeping my testubin (a Japanese cast iron teapot) under the covers with me was a wonderful way to keep…

Four Years of Tea and Fun

Tea for Me Please came into being exactly four years ago today! My first post was made pretty early in my love affair with tea. I had just purchased my first yixing (which is still my favorite) and I was a staff tea reviewer for Teaviews.com. To date I’ve written just over 500 posts. That’s a lot of tea! Did your favorite teas make the cut? Not all of mine did but I’ve certainly discovered a few that are on my wish list. In addition to this award, the ATB will be selecting “Best of Show” exhibitors at the upcoming Coffee and Tea Festival Atlantic City. It’s going to be a great event…

    Introduction

Hi! My name is Nicole and in case you didn’t already know, I am crazy about tea. I’m twenty four and I’ve lived in New Jersey for all of my life. Tea is one of my newest passions and I’m excited to start exploring. I have always enjoyed the standard Lipton black tea while having late night chats with my mother. When the time came for me to go away to college, I stated to branch out and try some the herbal teas in the grocery stores. One day, I discovered flowering teas in a magazine. That opened up the flood gates and now I have at least three cups of tea a…
