I think +TeaVivre may hold the title of most reviewed company on this blog. This is the 36th tea that I've written about from them! Last year's harvest of this tea was absolutely fantastic so I jumped for joy when I won a small bag of it from their Facebook contest. I'm happy to say that this year's offering was just as enjoyable. The aroma of the dry leaves was incredibly fresh. They should be since they were only just picked on March 10th! They were comprised mostly of unbroken buds that seemed to reanimate in the water. Frankenstein tea? Nah, that is just the sign of a high quality pluck. The taste of this tea was spring incarnate, sweet and refreshingly crisp. There were floral notes along with hints of cucumber and melon. It isn't common to find green teas that are creamy but this one did have a bit of that quality. Even after drinking as much as I could, I was able to cold brew the leaves in a mason jar to extract even more flavor. If I had the dough to stock up, this is definitely one of the few teas that would make the list. Being a more delicate green tea, you'll probably want to drink it within the next six months.
