When I first opened my tin I was greeted by the biggest slice of orange I had ever seen in a tea. I can’t explain it but things like that just make me happy. The name Vive le Thé definitely evokes the freshness and vibrancy of this blend. It was vegetal and sweet with lots of citrus zing. The lemon and ginger added a pleasant kick that complimented the orange well. Overall it was incredibly refreshing and well balanced. There was a mild astringency but I did not find it bitter. If you are a fan of earl grey or any of the citrus inspired teas from Le Palais des Thés, you should definitely give this one a try. I cannot wait to try it on ice next time around. I’m a big fan of this French based company and I am so glad that they’ve opened two stores in NYC. I can get my fix whenever I want.
