Takeya Coconut Lime Rooibos Flash Chill Iced Tea
Leaf Appearance: small, dark reddish brown
Ingredients: Organic Green Rooibos, Coconut Pieces, Natural Coconut Flavor, Pineapple Cubes (Pineapple & Sugar), Lemon Myrtle, Mango Cubes (Mango & Sugar), Papaya Cubes (Papaya & Sugar), Lime Peel, Natural Lime Oil Flavor
Steep time: 7 minutes
Water Temperature: 200 degrees

Liquor: dark amber
The dry leaves smelled amazing and so did the steeped tea. Coconut and all of the yummy fruit flavors definitely brought the tropics to mind. The lime and lemon myrtle provided a nice bit of a citrus zing in the finish. I think that the papaya was definitely most dominant taste was I was able to pick up hints of the other flavors as well. Green rooibos is a herbal tea that I'm not a huge fan of but it worked very well here. It provided a mellow, earthy background so that all of the other ingredients could really shine. Because it is caffeine free this blend was perfect for sipping before bed on hot nights. Although I don't often sweeten my teas, a little bit of sweetener like honey or agave would be a nice touch. The premeasured pouches made it quick and easy to steep this in my Takeya Flash Chill Iced Tea Maker. I will definitely be refilling on this one the next time that I am stocking up. As I was alone when making this, there is no proof that I was singing "Put the Lime in Coconut" the whole time :)
Twitter Party. I couldn't resist trying the Papaya, Mango & Mint Iced Tea that they had written about on their blog. Chopping up the fruit was a lot work but the iced tea turned out so sweet and refreshing. I wanted to drink it by the gallon! There was quite a bit of papaya and mango leftover but that gave me a nice fruit salad to bring to work the next day. You can find the recipe here.
