Fujian Province is located on the southeast coast of China. This region has a subtropical climate with warm winters and the threat of typhoons in the summer. It's probably best known for its oolong teas, especially those grown on the famed Wuyi Mountains. Green and black teas are also produced here. Some of my favorites teas from Fujian include Lapsang Souchong, Golden Monkey and Ti Kuan Yin. Buyer beware as "Wuyi" teas or often sold as weight loss remedies by disreputable companies.

Fujian is a real powerhouse of tea culture...if I had to point to a single province that is the origin of more of my favorite teas, it would be Fujian.
It's a leader among oolongs, with both Wuyi and Anxi in its borders, but it is also the source of most well-known white teas, and some very good black and green teas as well.
